Important Updates from Constellation Cat Cafe

Our final day in East Lansing is coming…

May is HERE (already? finally? oddly both?) and we have a ton of exciting updates about our big move.

It’s official. May will be final month at our current location in East Lansing, with our last day open being Wednesday, May 28th! 🎉

We also have big news from our fundraising coordinator! We’ve officially hit our $30,000 fundraising goal for a new roof and water damage repairs at our new location in Old Town! 🎉🎉

Whether you donated, participated in events, visited the cafe, shared our posts, or just believed in our journey — THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts. We couldn’t have gotten this far without you, our dedicated supporters.

After adopting nearly 2600 cats and spending over 5 years here on Lake Lansing road, we can’t help but to feel bittersweet about closing the chapter on this place we’ve called home for so long. Because of that, we want to spend May in reflection and gratitude.

All month long on our socials, we’ll be sharing some of our favorite memories from throughout the years–from iconic cats & adoption stories to all the unforgettable memories made at our location in EL. Be sure to follow us on facebook & instagram if you haven’t already to join in on the nostalgia!

We’ll also be putting together a Memory Wall in person at the cafe in the next couple of weeks. Stop by and drop off photos and share written memories that we’ll display on our wall until we close our East Lansing doors forever.

…but when will you be moving in?

We’re hoping for June! We’re still working on securing an official opening date at our new home in Old Town, which we will be sure to announce on all channels as soon as possible. Keep an eye on our socials, our website, & even your emails for our Grand Opening announcement!

Paint ✔️, flooring ✔️–our new cat room is complete and ready to be filled with adoptable cats!

Here’s what’s new at New Casa:

  • New roof is DONE!

  • Repaired all water damage

  • Finished painting

  • Cat room, bathrooms, and kitchen flooring is done

Here’s what’s next:

  • Adding interior doors and windows in the cat lock

  • Finishing the kitchen area

  • Installing an accessible ramp to the front deck

  • Preparation for the litter bench

  • Adding ceiling fans and light fixtures

Stop by in EL for one more Tangy Tabby Fizz. We will be switching over to our summer menu when we move!

Until we open at our new location, we’d love to see your faces in East Lansing one more time. Schedule a cat room visit for a final snuggle, your favorite beverage, and to pick up another meowchi or palm pal before we close our East Lansing doors forever.
