Why volunteer at Constellation Cat Cafe?
Our volunteers help keep the cat room running smoothly for our cat friends, adopters, and visitors, and they are a vital and valued part of our operation. We ask that volunteers work a minimum of 2 shifts per month or contact rowan@constellationcatcafe.com for other volunteer opportunities.
Please ensure that you have completed the volunteer training before signing up for a shift!
What do our volunteers do?
-
Cat Care
Volunteers help with cat care by giving the cats food and water, performing wellness checks on the cats, cleaning and sanitizing the cat room, and scooping litter.
-
Special Projects
Sometimes we need a little extra help, whether it being featured in social media content or miscellaneous maintenance tasks–volunteers may be asked to help with that too.
How to become a volunteer
Watch the orientation video
Scroll down and watch the full orientation video first. This step is required before moving on.
Attend a volunteer training session
After watching the video, go to the Choose Appointment section and select Volunteer Training.
At this training, you’ll complete a practice volunteer shift with one of our staff members (45 mins).
You must watch the orientation video and attend a volunteer training session before signing up for your first volunteer shift.
Sign up for volunteer shifts
Once you’ve completed training, you can sign up for future shifts on this page. Each shift is 2 hours long and takes place daily during our business hours.
*Note: Volunteers must be 16 or older to volunteer independently. Youth ages 12–15 may volunteer with a parent or guardian present. Please register as two people for training purposes so we can plan accordingly.
